A cleanliness drive was organized by R.K. College of Education on 31st October 2025 as part of its community awareness and social responsibility initiative. The event was conducted between 11:30 a.m. and 2:00 p.m., with enthusiastic participation of all students.
The program began in the college ground, where all students and faculty members assembled to take a cleanliness pledge, promising to maintain cleanliness in their surroundings and motivate others to do the same. After the pledge, the students were divided into groups and started cleaning various areas of the college premises. They collected litter, removed waste materials, and ensured that classrooms, corridors, and gardens were properly cleaned.
Following this, the team moved towards the nearby slum area, where students continued the cleaning activity. During this session, the students also interacted with the local residents, creating awareness about the importance of cleanliness and hygiene. They explained the need for waste segregation and encouraged people to dispose of garbage responsibly instead of dumping it in open spaces.
To spread the message further, the students organized a short rally around the area, holding placards and chanting slogans promoting cleanliness and a pollution-free environment. The rally successfully attracted attention and inspired many locals to adopt cleaner practices in their daily lives.
The program concluded with a sense of satisfaction and unity among all participants. Overall, the activity was a great success and contributed positively towards the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan vision.
